Q) How often do you
visit Studio Glo each week?
A) 5 times a week. 5
group exercise classes and 2 personal training sessions with
Thomas. Yeah, I love it at Studio Glo.
Q) What is your
favourite Studio Glo exercise /activity?
A) Besides the coffee
and chat on Saturday after group class, I’d have to say, boxing
with Jarrod, spin with Kylie and Kettle bells with Thomas. I
couldn’t choose just one!
Q) What is your least
favourite Studio Glo exercise / activity?
A) That’s easy –
Burpees or ‘Vomits’ as I prefer to call them.

Q) What were your
health and fitness goals when starting with Studio Glo and how have
you gone progressing toward them?
A) My overall goal was
to be fit enough and energetic enough to keep up with my two
hyperactive nephews (now there are three of them!). Unfortunately,
it seems that the fitter I become, the more energetic they be come!
But along the way I’ve lost almost 15kg and have never been fitter.
I’m now interested in toning up even more and setting some new
goals to move to the next level of fitness. Maybe one day I’ll be
able to outlast my nephews – but I might need a more realistic
goal....
Q) After a big Studio
Glo workout what would be your ideal meal?
A) Mmmm, chicken....I
love chicken grilled on the BBQ served with a salad and
avocado.
Q) If you could swap
bodies for a day with anyone, who’s would you
choose?
A) Female – Salma
Hayek, she looks great and doesn’t have that scary over-the-top
muscle look. Male – Lenny Hayes, he has so much strength and
determination and he’s a superstar St Kilda player!
Q) What is the one
Studio Glo exercise / activity you are determined to
master?
A) I really enjoy the
Kettle bell exercises so would love to improve in that area. And of
course, I love it when the group class makes it through a whole
‘Fast Feet’ session without a mistake – it’s a bonus when Jarrod
gets really sooky!.

Q) If you could do a
group exercise with any 5 people (alive or dead) who would you
choose?
A) My brother, because
I would love for him to get back into the gym. My cousin Judy,
because she’s awesome and we both enjoy giving Jarrod a hard time
during the class. Hamish, to make us laugh by doing something
ridiculous. Homer Simpson, so we’ll all seem really good compared
to him, and I’d love to see someone workout while eating donuts.
Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear (driving an Aston Martin) so my
brother will actually come to the class.
Q) Do you have any
tips for new Studio Glo members?
A) Don’t be afraid to
ask questions! I’ve learned so much from, the trainers, Narelle and
the other Studio Glo clients. It’s great to talk to other people
who have been through the same journey that you are on and get tips
from them too. I think you also need to make sure that you are
determined to make it work ‘this time’. I had tried to do this a
couple times before and never succeeded so having a real goal in
mind really made a difference. You’ll need to rely on that when the
going gets tough! And most of all make it fun and don’t be shy to
chat to the other clients – there are some great characters there
and everyone is very friendly!
