Q) How often do you
visit Studio Glo each week?
At the moment due to
the busyness of December it’s irregular but I go about 2-4 times a
week. I love it.
Q) What is your
favourite Studio Glo exercise / activity?
Chatting before class,
during class and after class… That’s an activity right? I also like
challenging things like boxing when you can’t move your arms any
more and a climb on the bike when your legs have already turned to
jelly J
Q) What is your
least favourite Studio Glo exercise / activity?
Push ups… But I can do
more than 5 now so there is a sweet sense of
accomplishment with every dreaded push-up!

Q) What were your
Health and Fitness goals when starting with Studio Glo and how have
you gone progressing toward them?
My aim was to lose
weight, tone up and change some of my lifestyle habits
while I’m still young. I have lost weight, I have toned up and I’m
working on my habits. I’ve learned that habits are hard to change…
really hard but you cannot give up or else the bad habit
wins.
Q) After a big
Studio Glo work out what would be your ideal meal?
Probably don’t ask me
that... everyone says good things like grilled chicken or
salad. I love a big curry or a pasta dish with a glass of red...
don’t hate me, at least I came to training! (see... still working
on those habits).

Q) If you could
swap bodies for a day with anyone who’s would you
choose?
Maybe my Nanna or my
Pa. I’m a GenYer and we have a tendency to not appreciate
what we have. If I swapped bodies with one of my grandparents, felt
the aches and pains they have each day (but hide well) I’d hope to
realise how great my body is now and thus appreciate it more, take
care of it more and use it while it’s in prime
condition!
Q) If you could do
a group exercise class with any 5 people (alive or dead) who would
you choose?
Judy, Carolyn, Asha,
Nicky and Mei Li. I love working out with them. They’re
encouraging and also inspiring but I wouldn’t say no to Hugh
Grant… he’s reliable and you need that in training... although he’s
only reliable because he’s the same in every movie… I love
Hugh.
Q) What is the one
Studio Glo exercise / activity you are determined to
master?
Ugh… push ups. One day
I will be able to do them without shaking. I’ll show Kylie that I
can do more than 20 push ups without needing a break!
Q) Do you have any
tips for new Studio Glo members?
Accept where you are
at. For years I lived in the ‘what I could be’ without accepting
where I was. Until I was willing to face the reality of
my situation I couldn’t actually make any changes
to it because I was working with dreams and not reality.
Start with where you are and
make realistic goals like
‘I will work out 3 times a week’ rather than ‘I will lose 2 kgs
this week’ because you can’t actually control how many kgs you lose
but you can control how often you work out. Achieve those
goals and the physical changes
will happen. I still have
to remind myself that to get to where I want to be it will take
time, it will be hard, and I will fail but I can and will keep
going. Also, make friends at Studio Glo because you won’t
want to come some days but if you have friends you’ll want to see
them and when you miss a class they will hound you about why you
weren’t there (thanks guys).
