Health and fitness for children is becoming an important issue in Australian society. Recent statistics show that 25% of children under the age of 15 years are overweight or obese. It is becoming increasingly clear that parents need to take a more substantial role in ensuring that their children lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.

The earlier in life children start developing healthy eating and exercise patterns the better. It is much easier to form new habits at an early age and modify existing ones if necessary. If we make exercise and healthy eating a part of their life from an early age then they are far more likely to continue with this lifestyle into adulthood.
